DESCRIPTION:2023 Lenten Retreat for Men\, Women\, and Couples\n\nTired of Covid? Weary from watching the news? Need some gentle time for your spirit? Then it’s time to register for this year’s Lenten Retreat\, “Let Love Be the Desert.” Led by Angier Brock\, the retreat will invite us to step away from busy-ness and fatigue to enter a quiet space where scripture\, poetry\, and reflection can nourish us. The retreat will include journaling\, group discussion\, and silence\, with time after lunch for walking Chanco’s labyrinth\, strolling through the woods\, engaging in a quiet indoor reflective activity\, or simply sitting. Those wishing to spend some time outdoors should wear clothes and shoes suitable for that day’s weather.\n  \nAngier Brock\, a veteran retreat leader\, is a communicant of Grace Church\, Yorktown\, where she serves as an EfM mentor and a Centering Prayer facilitator. She has an MA in Christian education and an MFA in creative writing\, and several dozen of her hymn and anthem texts have been set to music by both English and American composers and sung in a variety of churches in the U. S. and abroad.
