DESCRIPTION:Spring Weekend is an opportunity for youth to come together with friends from all over the Diocese and to spend time in retreat with God. \nYouth in grades 6 through 12 are invited to join us for a weekend of camp fun and fellowship as we explore what it means to be in right relationship with God and others. The EYC Board has been exploring abiding in Jesus’ love and is excited to share what they have learned with the youth of the Diocese. During the weekend youth will be staying in the campsites in chalets and will have an opportunity to not only grow in their faith but also grow in community with activities around camp. \nFellowship is fun\, spiritual\, motivating\, musical\, and active… and it’s at Chanco\, so register now!! \nSuggested packing list: bedding and pillow\, toiletries\, prescription medication in original case\, seasonally appropriate clothing – bring layers including a swimsuit\, sweater\, hoodie\, jacket\, and raincoat\, comfortable shoes\, including one pair with closed toes\, Bible\, camera\, musical instrument\, books\, flashlight\, bug spray. \nClick here for complete packing list.\n \nCheck-in: 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday\, May 3\nDeparture: 11:00 a.m. on Sunday\, May 5\nRetreat begins at 7:30 p.m. (Friday) and ends at 11:00 a.m. (Sunday)\nRegistration fee: $150.00\nRegistration deadline: Tuesday\, April 23 \n* All participants must bring a photocopy of your medical insurance card and the completed and signed Medical Information and Release form to the event. \n** Youth may only administer certain medications themselves at Diocese-sponsored events. DESCRIPTION:Chanco on the James is excited to announce this year’s Lenten Retreat\, “Parables & Paintings.” Together\, we will look at four different parables which Jesus taught and explore them through the lens of paintings done by James B. Janknegt. These paintings are meant to foster rich conversation\, which will be done in both large and small group settings. This program will feature several different activities and are designed for ages 16+. We hope you’ll join us for this time of fellowship and reflection during the Lent Season. Our retreat will be facilitated by Rev. Keith Emerson\, Rector at St. Paul’s Suffolk. We are also thrilled to announce that Rev. Melody Perdue\, Associate Rector at Eastern Shore Chapel\, will lead our music and worship time.
