Hi, I’m Lexi, your Summer Camp Director for 2022! I work at Chanco full time and have been here since March 3, 2020. My loves in life are Jesus, my cats, and dinosaurs. I love working at Chanco and can’t wait to see you all this summer!
My name is Pem Kahler (she/her). I am a rising junior at Randolph-Macon College where I am studying sociology and special education. On campus, I am a Resident Assistant and serve as the Vice President of Marketing for Alpha Gamma Delta – Theta Zeta chapter. Back home, I am a member of Christ & Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church in Norfolk, VA. I have been part of the Chanco community since 2012. I was a camper first for many years before joining the staff as a lifeguard. This summer I am very excited to return to my role as Head Counselor. I love this position because I get the opportunity to support and guide the walk-around counselors as well as work alongside the leadership team. Most of all, I enjoy being able to foster lifelong relationships with people from all walks of life. I cannot wait for another amazing summer here filled with lots of love and laughter!
Hello! I am Edward Lukas. At Chanco, I am better known as Ed. I have wanted to be aquatics director since my first year at camp in 2008 as a camper. I am so excited to finally have the opportunity to lead a great program area. I am studying Environmental Studies at VCU. As a part of my degree program, I am excited to implement a river studies and appreciation program at Chanco this summer. I fell in love with the mighty James River when I was a camper, and I hope to be able to inspire campers to see how cool it is, as well. In my free time, I like to play my guitar and listen to music.
Hi, I’m Reilly Flynn! A (Soon to be) graduate of James Madison University and Norfolk native, I’m an avid baker, outdoorsman, reader, and I have a passion for Celtic wind instruments. This will be my 11th year total and my 6th year on staff.
My name is Keyonda Major. I am from Surry. I am 22 years old. I graduated from Churchland High School in 2018. I am currently in college studying to become a registered nurse and will be a Counselor at Chanco this summer.
My name is Lila Donna, I am 18 years old and I live in the Netherlands. It has always been my dream to go to the US so I can’t wait to spend my time at camp with you! I have danced for as long as I can remember and I play the guitar. I played roles in musicals, for example Annie in the musical Annie. I just finished college and will have a gap year in which I hope to travel a lot.

Hi! My name is Anna. I am a Hungarian counselor, who comes all the way from Europe to spend the summer at Chanco! I am 18 years old. I love music, drama, reading, performing and creative arts, spending my time outdoors and meeting new people. I am excited to meet new cultures, experience new things and do this in an excellent environment. Making friends who are younger than me is awesome, because we can all learn together and from each other. My goal this summer is to help the campers to have such a great time at camp as I have so many times before. <3
Hi! I’m Matthew Barton. I am from Jamaica, the immediate past president of the Leo Club of Kingston Jamaica and a youth advocate. I have a strong passion for music where I love to sing and write songs. I also like to engage in outdoor adventures and volunteerism. I believe we can learn while having fun. I have worked with a variety of kids, from children’s homes, summer camps, school camps etc. Its a great pleasure to meet you all and I am looking forward to have a fun packed summer. Hello! My name is Dominika Knosala, I’m 20 years old and I’m from Poland. On a daily basis I’m a student at Opole University. My hobby is dance, I’m Polish, European and World champion. Besides that I’m also a dance teacher. I work with kids everyday and I can’t wait to meet all of you! I’ve wanted to go to USA as long as I can remember and live the “American Dream!” I’m extremely happy that it will finally come true.

Hi, my name is Enkhjin (Enheejen) Davaadorj, or if it is hard for you to pronounce you can call me Enji. I am from Mongolia and currently studying in Hungary for my bachelor’s degree. I like to travel and eat a lot of delicious foods. Also, I really like adventurous things, which is why I am really looking forward to being at Chanco this summer. Another little thing about myself is that I am a big fan of k-pop.

Hey, it’s Hannah! I’m so excited to come back to Chanco! This will be my 8th year at Chanco and my first time on Staff. I am a rising sophomore at William and Mary.
I have been at Chanco for 13 years. I enjoy archery, sailing, and theater tech. I recently moved to Florida where I’ve taken up surfing. This year you’ll find me lifeguarding at the waterfront.
