Lenten Retreat

It’s time to register for this year’s Lenten Retreat! Taking place on March 17–18, our speaker, Angier Brock, will lead us in our retreat titled “Let Love be the Desert”, which will use scripture and poetry to help us name and explore some of our inner and outer desert places — and to consider how Love speaks to them. There will be time for journaling, reflection, group discussion, and more!
Angier Brock, a veteran retreat leader, is a communicant of Grace Church, Yorktown, where she serves as an EfM mentor and a Centering Prayer facilitator. She has an MA in Christian education and an MFA in creative writing, and several dozen of her hymn and anthem texts have been set to music by both English and American composers and sung in a variety of churches in the U. S. and abroad. Retired from 30 years of teaching, she often leads small adult writing classes, frequently on Zoom, and is mother of two, grandmother of five, a Virginia Master Naturalist, and a birder.
This retreat will cost $40 for one day only, $120 for a shared room and $145 for a single room. Ages 18+
