Join us April 21st at St. Martins Episcopal Church (1333 Jamestown Rd, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185) for your chance to make a lasting impact on a place that you love! As some of you already know Chanco is in the process of raising money for some very needed improvements that include enlarging our Dining Hall and Flournoy Hall. These are improvements that youth, who have a connection to Chanco, will benefit from for years to come.
We want you to have a chance to help us with this very important project by attending our Dance-A-Thon! “What is that?”, you may ask. It will be a super fun night filled with dancing, snacks, games, goofy challenges, and all your best friends! All you have to do is register (registration opens in January), look over our list of goofy activities that will be going on at the event (will all be broadcast on Facebook live), collect monetary pledges from friends and family, and then show up to dance the night away.
These goofy challenges might include
– Doing the chicken dance with a group of friends
– Dying you hair
– Participating in a rap battle
– Singing a song about how beautiful the Camp Director is
– Getting pied in the face
– Ice bucket challenge
– Participating in a dance battle
Transportation in the form of buses from the Richmond and Hampton Roads area will be provided- more details on this soon!
For now you just need to save the date on your calendar – April 21! Registration will go live in January on our webpage along with more details about the event.
