Winter Camp is for anyone ages 7-12 and is a great way for kids to experience the wonder of Chanco in the off season. It is also a great way to introduce a new camper to what Chanco is all about. Winter camp is the perfect opportunity to allow someone who is considering coming to a summer session the chance to test out the waters and see how much fun camp can be. The program is only in its third year and is already one of our best recruitment tools for finding new summer campers.
By helping us spread the word about this event you are helping to give young people the chance to have an amazing life changing experience. Camping allows kids to grow in so many ways. They learn independence, social skills, and gain a better appreciation for the natural world. Camping also helps kids grow spiritually. By framing Camp Chanco in a Christian context we are helping to grow new leaders and members of the Church.
Winter Camp 2018 will feature some of Chanco’s most beloved activities and staff. Challenge yourself on our ropes course, play fun games with the amazing Chanco staff, and find life-long friends!

Winter Camp is January 12-14th at Chanco on the James. The event is open to anyone ages 7-12. The cost for the event is $125. Scholarships are available upon request.
