Let’s Dance for Chanco!
Youth Dance-A-Thon benefiting the Campaign for Chanco
Calling all youth grades 3-12! Join us Saturday, April 21st from 6 – 9 pm (dinner provided) at St. Martin’s in Williamsburg (1333 Jamestown Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23185) for our youth Dance-A-Thon “Let’s Dance for Chanco” to support The Campaign for Chanco focusing on fantastic improvements to our property including the Dining Hall and Flournoy Hall. At Chanco we are all about creating opportunities for our youth to grow. By participating in this fundraiser our young people will be able to help contribute to a place that they love as well as learn about the importance of fundraising. This event will be slightly different from a normal Dance-A-Thon. Instead of collecting pledges for dancing a certain amount of time, participants will collect pledges for participating in goofy activities. These activities will include doing crazy dances, getting pied in the face, showing off a silly talent, and even dying your hair (don’t worry parents – its only temporary!).
Registration is live here! Simply register and download our list of goofy activities. You then share the list in person or via email to your friends and family and ask for pledges to do crazy goofy challenges and share that their gift will go towards improvement of Chanco, the camp and retreat center you love! The minimum amount of donation needed to attend “Let’s Dance for Chanco” will be $50. Prizes will be awarded to the top three people who raise the most amount of money.
Most exciting of all – all donations raised by our young people at this event will be matched by an anonymous camp family donor up to $5,000! Your dollars raised will have DOUBLE the impact to families!

On the registration page on the website, there will be a “donate now” button. Simply click on that button and donate via PayPal, making sure to put the name of the event (“Let’s Dance for Chanco”) and the name of the participant in the notes section of the donation.
Once they event starts the people who donated to you will be able to watch you do your goofy activities live via Facebook.
