About Our Theme, Living the Magnificat:magnificat

From lowliness to blessedness, from weakness to power, from poverty to richness…

Mary the Mother of Jesus sings of God’s abundant love in this timeless canticle, the Magnificat.  As women, Mary’s heartfelt expression of praise, gratitude and trust is an inspiration for our lives.  In this Advent season, as we await the coming of Christ, how can we cultivate the same joyful expectation of promise?  How can we focus not on stresses and sorrows… but on our true blessedness?  How can we too bear Christ for the world?

At our Advent Women’s Retreat, we’ll spend time in inspirational workshops, worship, and conversation exploring this theme, as well as traditions of Marian spirituality, while seeking to apply her wisdom in our everyday life.
